Senior Product Marketer
About Innovatemap
Innovatemap is a product and go-to-market partner for high-growth tech companies. Since 2014, we've helped leaders fill critical gaps and accelerate their path to success, working shoulder-to-shoulder with client teams to turn bold ideas into products people love and stories that connect. Our work runs on three pillars: research, strategy, and design. Research grounds every engagement in real market insight. Strategy guides decisions with clarity. Design brings the story to life in ways that connect and convert.
About the Role
We're looking for a Senior Product Marketer to join our GTM Strategy practice and work directly with clients ranging from early-stage founders to established tech companies repositioning their business. You'll lead positioning and messaging work, shape go-to-market strategy, and turn research into narratives that help our clients show up credibly in market. This is a client-facing role. You'll be in the room with founders and executive teams, not just producing deliverables behind the scenes.
This role is based out of our Indianapolis headquarters.
What You'll Do
- Lead positioning and messaging engagements from research through final deliverables, including message houses, persona messaging, product narratives, and website copy
- Partner closely with Innovatemap's designers throughout each engagement, working side by side to translate strategy into brand assets, websites, and sales tools that hold together
- Partner with clients to translate market and buyer research into a clear point of view on how they should show up
- Develop go-to-market strategy recommendations, including product hierarchy, competitive differentiation, and launch planning
- Build sales enablement assets (pitch decks, one-pagers, battlecards) that give client sales teams a real edge
- Project manage multi-deliverable engagements, keeping timelines, quality, and client communication on track as positioning, website, and sales assets move in parallel
- Run and synthesize buyer and market research to ground strategy in evidence, not assumption
- Present strategy and creative work directly to client stakeholders, including founders and executive teams
- Collaborate with Innovatemap's design and strategy teams to make sure the story and the experience match
- Mentor junior team members on GTM strategy craft
What You'll Bring
- A strong portfolio of product marketing or GTM strategy work for B2B tech or software companies, whether you built it in-house at a SaaS company or on the agency or consulting side
- Technical fluency. You're comfortable in the weeds of a product's technical details and know how to translate capability into customer value
- Strong business acumen, with an instinct for what actually moves a client's business forward
- Proven ability to turn research into sharp positioning and messaging, not just polished copy
- Experience presenting strategy directly to executive stakeholders and defending your recommendations
- Comfort working across ambiguity. Early-stage clients need different thinking than scaleups, and you can flex between both
- Sharp writing and editing instincts, with an ear for voice and tone across audiences
- A collaborative approach. You'll work closely with strategists, designers, and researchers, not in a marketing silo
- Experience managing multiple client engagements at once without losing quality or communication
- Familiarity with AI tools that speed up research synthesis and content production is a plus. We see AI as a multiplier on top of strong strategic thinking, not a replacement for it
We're not gatekeeping this role behind a specific degree or a rigid years-of-experience cutoff. If you've done this work and can show us the thinking behind it, we want to talk to you.
How We Work
Our GTM team operates as an embedded partner on every client engagement: close enough to the business to understand it deeply, independent enough to challenge assumptions when the story isn't working. You'll move between engagements, which means variety, but also means you need to context-switch well and hold a high bar across every client you touch.
