Brand Creative Director

Innovatemap is seeking a Brand Creative Director to join our dynamic and growing team. 

The Brand and Product Marketing teams at Innovatemap play a critical role in guiding our clients to accelerate the growth and success of their companies through world-class strategy and design. As a Brand Creative Director, you will play a key role in shaping the identity of our clients’ brands, guiding them from initial concept through to execution, and ensuring their product and go-to-market experience resonates deeply with their target audience.

Location: Indianapolis, Indiana

What You’ll Do

Lead the creation of brand strategies for our clients, including naming, brand positioning, messaging frameworks, and brand architecture. Your strategies will help clients differentiate their products in the market and connect deeply with their target audience.

Work closely with our design team to develop and refine visual identities that bring our clients’ brand strategy to life. You will ensure that the visual elements align with the strategic vision and resonate with the intended audience.

Look outward to the market and understand our clients’ competitive landscapes, identify market trends, and uncover insights that will inform your brand strategies.

Cast a vision and give creative direction to brand and product designers, helping them to successfully activate our clients’ brand strategies across go-to-market activations and in-product touch points. 

Collaborate with product marketing, design, and product management teams to ensure that brand strategies are integrated seamlessly into the product experience.

Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, guiding them through the branding process, presenting strategic recommendations, and ensuring we collectively hit desired client outcomes. 

Who You Are

You have 5+ years of experience in brand strategy and creative direction. Experience working with SaaS companies or digital products is highly preferred.

You’re skilled at extracting and understanding client goals, and guiding executive and C-level audiences towards the best solutions. 

You have experience building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of clients from startups to corporate clients.

You’re a strategic thinker who excels at crafting comprehensive brand strategies that align with both business objectives and customer needs. You can see the big picture and know how to translate it into actionable steps.

You have the ability to envision the future of a brand and anticipate market trends. You can see beyond the immediate needs of a project to develop strategies that stand the test of time and exceed client expectations.

You thrive in a collaborative team environment and have experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and product management. You value diverse perspectives and know how to bring out the best in those you work with. 

You speak the language of designers. While you might not push pixels daily, you’re able to build rapport, cast a vision and inspire designers. 

You possess a unique blend of creativity and analytical thinking. You can craft compelling narratives and are equally adept at interpreting data to inform your strategies.

You’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. You embrace challenges and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in brand strategy, marketing, or a related field.

Experience in digital products or SaaS, and agency experience is preferred.

Proven track record of developing and implementing successful brand strategies.

Strong presentation and communication skills, with experience presenting successfully to executive-level stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Proficient in market research and competitive landscaping to comparatively analyze brand position in the market and to inform strategic decisions.

Experience working with cross-functional teams, including design and product management.
